This young man has been aware of a slightly tender white irregularity of his buccal mucosae (bilateral) for the past two years.  Family physician has diagnosed it as "leukoplakia" and recommended biopsy.  Lesion has a granular keratotic appearance and patient "peels off" small parts periodically.  Photo courtesy of Dr. Richard Marshall, Lewisburg, West Virginia.
